Founder of Woodsdale Mains

Anne Chappell

I grew up learning about farming from my Grandfather on the adjoining property. From a young age I loved animals and raised chickens and horses. I am an avid outdoorswomen and care deeply about sustainable farming. I graduated from Bridgewater College with a degree in Biology and later when back to school for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Jefferson College of Health Sciences. I currently am the Program Coordinator for Valley Farm School and work as needed as a nurse in the Children’s Hospital at Carilion. I am passionate about sharing farming with the future generation through gardening, animal husbandry, and horse back riding lessons.
